Caviness & Cates Building and Development Company was founded in 1999 by Watson Caviness and Chris Cates. Watson and Chris are licensed general contractors in the state of North Carolina and are both graduates of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Together they founded their company in hopes of becoming one of the largest and most prominent building companies in Cumberland, Hoke, and Harnett counties. Today, Caviness & Cates also builds new home communities in the Greenville, NC and Jacksonville, NC areas.
Caviness and Cates has quickly become a leader in new home sales in the area while at the same time demanding quality and customer satisfaction with each home built. The employees and subcontractors of Caviness and Cates go to great lengths to make sure each home is built to exceed the expectations of the individual homebuyer.
