The Homefront Project
Supporting our troops with every home.Caviness and Cates is committed to supporting our community and its military families. Presenting The Homefront Project: our pledge to donate a portion of our sales from each and every home we sell to help raise funds for the men and women of our military and their families.
Why are we doing this? As a leading home builder in the Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune areas, we believe we have an obligation to our military families who depend on help from charitable organizations. Fayetteville alone has over 50,000 military families who work tirelessly to keep our country safe.
Our selected charity is The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a national
leader in supporting our Armed Forces and their families. The IFHF provides
financial support to the families of our fallen heroes as well as benefits
to wounded warriors and their families to help with financial, medical,
educational, employment and other needs. Following the United States
involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, the need for support has greatly
increased and this effort was expanded to the public to help generate
the growing need for funds.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund
About the Charity
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund was established officially as an independent not-for-profit organization in 2003. In January 2007 the Fund completed construction of the Center for the Intrepid, a $55 million world-class state-of-the-art physical rehabilitation center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. This Center serves military personnel who have been catastrophically disabled in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and veterans severely injured in other operations and in the normal performance of their duty. The 60,000 square foot Center provides ample space and facilities for the rehabilitation needs of the patients and their caregivers. It includes state-of-the-art physical equipment and extensive indoor and outdoor facilities. The Center also provides housing for the families of patients.
The Fisher House
About the Charity
The Fisher House™ program is a private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House™ Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.
There is at least one Fisher House™ at every major military medical center to assist families in need and to ensure that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. Annually, the Fisher House™ program serves more than 10,000 families, and have made available nearly three million days of lodging to family members since the program originated in 1990.
