For 2008, Caviness and Cates closed 315 homes and grossed $75 million in revenue. Who We Are

Caviness & Cates Building and Development Company was founded in 1999 by Watson Caviness and Chris Cates. Watson and Chris are licensed general contractors in the state of North Carolina and are both graduates of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Together they founded their company in hopes of becoming one of the largest and most prominent building companies in Cumberland, Hoke, and Harnett counties. Today, Caviness & Cates also builds new home communities in the Greenville and Jacksonville, NC areas.
