Spring Fun Across North Carolina!

Spring is in the air, which means one thing for families across North Carolina: Easter egg hunts, Earth Day, and springtime celebrations! If you're in the Raleigh area, Moore County, Greenville, or Fayetteville, get ready for some egg-cellent adventures. 

Raleigh Area (Wendell, Youngsville, Johnston County, Wake County):

  • Shotwell Environmental Park Earth Day Party and Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 4624 Smithfield Rd., Wendell, NC 27591. This free event includes three separate egg hunts at 11:45 AM and a free lunch for attendees.
  • Easter Egg Roll at Wendell Museum: Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wendell Museum. This is a free event.
  • Clayton Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Clayton High School (600 S Fayetteville St, Clayton, NC 27520). This free event will feature music, games, bounce houses starting at 10:00 AM, and the egg hunt itself at 11:00 AM. Over 12,000 eggs will be scattered on the football field, divided into age groups: 2 and under, 3-4 year olds, and 5-6 year olds. The Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance.
  • Town of Youngsville Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Luddy Park. This free event, in partnership with local churches, has staggered hunt times for different age groups and special needs children.
  • Raleigh Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration at Dix Park (Flowers Field): Friday, April 25, 4-10 PM. Enjoy educational demos, info booths, a tree giveaway, cultural performances (Tuscarora opening and Earth Dances), environmental awards, a tree dedication, and a movie ("The Wild Robot" at 8:15 PM). Bring your own water bottle; refills available.
  • Raleigh Kids Easter Treasure Hunt (Downtown): Saturday, April 19 & Sunday, April 20, 2-3 PM (more dates through June - buy tickets in advance!) at Marbles Kids Museum (201 E. Hargett St., Raleigh). A walking team scavenger hunt for families to find clues, solve puzzles, and unlock a treasure chest. Admission: $15/adult, $12/kid (ages 4-17).

Moore County:

  • Downtown Carthage Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 5 to Sunday, April 20, 2025. Explore downtown Carthage and find eggs filled with prizes from local businesses! Claim your prize at the participating business listed on the egg. This is a free, ongoing event.
  • Easter Train: Bunny Trails and Rails (West End Fire Dept): Saturday, April 19th 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM. TRAINS AND FIRE TRUCKS! The Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway and the West End Fire Department invite you and your family to an Easter Celebration. Enjoy an Easter “tale” and treat aboard a 30-minute train ride, participate in an Easter egg hunt, explore fire trucks, get your face painted, and have loads of fun! Tickets are $30.
  • Strawberry Field Easter Egg Hunt (Cameron): Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM & Sunday 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at White Hill Farms Strawberries & Produce (5030 South Plank Road, Cameron, NC 28326). Enjoy an egg hunt in the strawberry field, a kids' play park, food trucks, and ice cream. The Easter Bunny will be there Saturday from 11 AM - 1 PM.

Greenville:

  • Neon Eggstravaganza (Wildwood Park): Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wildwood Park. A glow-in-the-dark egg hunt with a DJ, games, prizes, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Preregistration is required with a $5 fee per person. Egg hunt starts around 7:45 PM.
  • Community Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at 1100 Red Banks Rd, Greenville, NC 27858.
  • Downtown Greenville Cleanup (Museum of Natural Sciences): April 26th at 11 AM Take part in a Downtown Greenville community cleanup to help make our town a cleaner and better place. Dress for the weather and be ready to get dirty! Meet on the front steps of the Greenville location.

Fayetteville:

  • Fayetteville Dogwood Festival (Downtown): Friday, April 25 (5-11 PM), Saturday, April 26 (12 PM-11 PM), & Sunday, April 27 (12 PM-8 PM). A FREE community event featuring entertainment, family activities, food, and community favorites in Downtown Fayetteville.
  • Fayetteville Easter Eggstravaganza: Saturday, April 19, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at 500 Fisher Street, Fayetteville. A FREE, all-ages event featuring an Easter egg hunt (look for the golden egg!), food, music, and fun. Bring your own basket!
  • Fayetteville Woodpeckers Easter Sunday Funday vs. Fredericksburg Nationals: Sunday, April 20, Gates open 4:00 PM, First Pitch 5:05 PM at 460 Hay Street, Fayetteville. Celebrate Easter with the Easter Bunny and a postgame on-field Easter egg hunt for kids! Enjoy Sunday Funday activities including kids running the bases and postgame catch in the outfield. Tickets start at $14.00.
